Wget download file from google drive

One thing that is immensely annoying is that Google Drive does not provide a link to a shared file that can be used by scripts or the command line such as wget or curl. This is somewhat inconvenient as I work across different platforms and being able to download stuff from Google Drive via wget would be exceptionally useful.
