I couldn't launch steam without my computer going to shit today because there was a patch. Everytime there is a patch my disk usage skyrockets and POE eats about 30gb of my disk space. My computer was basically frozen this time and I couldn't update, so I decided to uninstall POE, but it looks like a huge chunk of my drive space is gone still.
Look. I've got a 50 MB/s bandwidth. I install 50 Gb of "Witcher 3" from Steam in a little more than an hour. But today I started downloading PoE at approximately 10:00 p.m. And at 3:45 a.m. it is still 99%. 6 hours! 6 hours for 20 Gigs! And during that time my HDD was so busy I hardly could launch PyCharm (which is not that heavy at all). steam: ~11.8 GB which is a difference of ~4 GB (!!!). I'm running PoE from hdd and the standalone client always had a better performance than the steam version (less stuttering and loading times).
